Corfield Hall, Taunton, 15th and 16th June and Bridgwater Town Hall 21st June, 1951.
The story of Somerset, presented by the Somerset Fellowship of Drama as its contribution to the Festival of Britain. Across the county, fifteen plays were performed. On Saturday evening (16th), in honour of the special visit of the Mayor of Taunton and the Mayor of Taunton, Massachusetts, the programme commences with Taunton’s own anthem, Defendamus.
